Medlin Software
Having trouble getting your license to work? Most key problems come down to one of a few things — start by making sure you are on the current revision.
Always download, install, and use the current revision. Older revisions can cause exactly these kinds of problems.
If the software asks you for three pieces of registration information (customer number, registered to, and registration key), you are using an outdated revision. Newer revisions only need two.
Open the software, click Help (upper right), then click the Enter Registration Key button.
For the license to be valid, enter both the ID and the KEY exactly as shown on your receipt. Each license covers one installation at a time.
You must be connected to the internet, and able to connect to certain safe locations, when you enter a new or updated license. If Medlin says it cannot connect to the internet but you are in fact connected, your firewall or security software is blocking the servers Medlin needs.
Try temporarily turning off any third-party security software. If that fixes it, contact us and we will give you the server names to allow, so you can turn your security back on and add an exception.
Make sure the ID you enter matches your receipt. It is the shorter of the two items, and it is numbers only.
Enter the KEY exactly as shown on your receipt. Your best bet is to copy and paste it from the receipt or the key we emailed you. It is the longer of the two codes, with numbers, letters, and dashes.
For most people, you enter your license just once, when you first order Medlin. You may also need it if you switch computers.
Lost your receipt and need your key resent? Request your registration key.
